Postcards! (Suite Grey Rain)

Ready and able to send out postcards again, just send me your Name, and Location to me.  I am playing around with the idea of rain and it is relationship with the landscape, pulling from my work with the rain forest El Yunque and storms in The Bronx. Each postcard will be made-to-order. This will be my way of forcing myself to exhaust theses ideas. The drawings will be done in watercolour and in a Suite of Grey.

Mutt, surrender to the conqueror. Shake, roll, collapse. Islands rise and die, let them sink back to the ocean. Here ‘neath the trees, to repeat the theme. Downpour fades out the landscape, as your body respectively bows down. Palms slowly pushed to rub on one another. El Yunque a altar genuflects in adoration during storms. He’s held captive because it is captured.

Are you Hispanic? Are you? El Yunque? Covered in mud: white washed then black washed, skin used to be red. Warm colours dulled by the sea.

Know what the forest says “children, children. Are you not afraid?” from island, to island. Repeat and repeat again.
